The Coach That Doesn’t Let You Quit

A mindfulness deck for anyone who has ever bargained with herself mid-workout.

Let me tell you something about working out — and about life.

There’s a moment in every workout where your body says enough. The legs are burning, the breath is short, the voice in your head is making excellent arguments for why you’ve done plenty already.

That voice is convincing. It’s reasonable. And it’s lying.

Because the rep that matters most isn’t the first one. It isn’t even the tenth. It’s the one more rep — the one you almost didn’t do. The one where you discovered something about yourself you didn’t know was there.

I created this deck for that exact moment.

Twenty cards. Twenty rituals. Designed to be your coach when no one else is watching — to help you show up on the mornings you don’t feel like it, breathe through the burn, push past the voice that wants to quit, and walk out of every session prouder than when you walked in.

This isn’t theory. These are simple, practical anchors you can reach for before a workout, between sets, or in the quiet moment after — when you’re deciding what kind of person you’re becoming.

Because here’s what I’ve learned, in training and in life:

The body builds the mind.
Every rep you didn’t want to do but did anyway is a deposit in a savings account called self-trust.
And self-trust is the thing that changes everything else.

If you’ve ever skipped the workout and regretted it — if you’ve ever wondered why some days you push and other days you fold — One More Rep was made for you.

Not to turn you into an athlete. But to give you, set by set, breath by breath, a mind that doesn’t let you quit on yourself.

How It Works

A 3-Step Reset for When It Gets Hard

Every workout has a moment where it gets hard. What matters is what you do next.

  1. Anchor — The Pause

Pause. Feel. Stay. When fatigue sets in, the instinct is to rush, lose form, or stop. Don't. Reach for your card. Hold it. Feel it. That simple physical action creates a pause — a break from automatic reaction.

  2. Reframe — The Choice

Read. Shift. Choose. One clear thought — not about how hard it feels, but about how you choose to continue. You move from resistance to intention.

  3. Continue — The Next Rep

Breathe. Reset. Move. Take one breath. Let the focus settle. Then continue your set — with control, awareness, and purpose. Not just pushing through. Staying present in the effort.

This is your reset.
Use it whenever the workout tests you.

Why a Card, and Not an App

In training, the hardest moments are not physical. They are mental. When fatigue sets in. When motivation drops. When stopping feels easier than continuing. That’s where the real work begins.

When pressure rises, most people rely on willpower alone. But willpower drifts. It gets caught in the burn, the boredom, the bargaining voice that wants you to stop a set early.

A card in your hand doesn’t drift. It is small, physical, and immediate.

Reach. Pause. Refocus. A simple sequence you can return to between sets, mid-run, or in the moment your form starts to break.

Over time, it becomes more than a tool. It becomes a ritual. And the ritual becomes the reason you keep showing up.

Why I Made It

I am not a personal trainer. I am someone who keeps showing up.

I created One More Rep because I needed it. Because I have skipped workouts I regretted, finished sessions I almost quit, and learned — slowly, and not always gracefully — that the difference between the days I pushed and the days I folded was almost never about my body. It was about what was happening in my head before my body got the message.

The cards are what I wish I’d had on the mornings I didn’t want to start, and on the sets where I almost stopped two reps short.

What you’re holding isn’t theory designed in a lab. It is a practice, refined in real workouts and in everyday life, by someone who has met the bargaining voice and chosen, often enough, to stay one more rep.

For Someone You Love

If you are reading this for someone else — a partner who has just started training, a friend rebuilding her strength, a parent finding her way back into her body, a child learning that hard things are worth staying inside of — One More Rep is the rare gift that respects what they are actually doing.

It is not a novelty. It is not a fitness gadget. It is a quiet, beautifully made companion for the part of training that no app, no program, and no new pair of shoes can fix.

Most people never think to buy something like this for themselves. That’s exactly what makes it the right gift.

It arrives in a premium box with a velvet pouch — designed to feel as considered as it is.

The Real Strength

Because strength is not just how hard you go. It is how you stay when it gets hard.

And sometimes, all it takes is something you can hold to remind you that you can.

Words from the floor

Month four (a personal record)

Month four. I have never made it to month four of anything fitness-related in my life. I don't know if it's the cards or just my time finally coming but I'm not removing them from the equation to find out.

The voice in my head finally has a competitor

There's a card that says the voice that wants you to stop is not the voice of wisdom. I think about that one a lot. Probably too much. Probably the right amount.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

About the cards

What exactly is a TakeTimeTo deck?

A set of physical cards, bound together with a durable metal ring and packaged in a premium box with a velvet pouch. Each card carries one clear, practical prompt designed to be used in the moment—on the course, on the court, in the workout, or in everyday life.

The cards are not theory or quotes. They are tools, designed to interrupt autopilot and bring you back to focus, resilience, and presence when it matters most.

Which deck is right for me?

Each deck is built around a specific moment in a specific sport:

  • Mental Mulligan — Golf Collection. For the long walks between shots and the conversations in your head over the ball.
  • The Second Serve — Tennis Collection. For the changeover, the next point, and the match that’s being played in the six inches between your ears.
  • One More Rep — Workout Collection. For the moment your body says enough and you decide what happens next.

If you play more than one—many of our customers do—the decks are designed to work as a system. The same three principles (focus, resilience, presence) appear across all three, expressed differently for each game.

How many cards are in each deck?

The number is calibrated to the rhythm of each game.

  • Mental Mulligan (Golf) — 18 cards, one for each hole of a full round.
  • The Second Serve (Tennis) — 20 cards.
  • One More Rep (Workout) — 20 cards.

Each card targets a specific mental pattern or moment you face during play.

Do I have to use all the cards every time?

No.

The cards are bound on a durable ring so they stay together— easy to carry, easy to flip through, never lost in a bag. But the ring opens. If one card speaks to you more than the others—a thought you keep needing, a reminder for a pattern you’re working on—take it out. Slip it in your pocket. Tape it inside your locker. Keep it on your nightstand.

The deck is designed to be used as a whole, and designed to release the one card you need most when you need it most. Both ways are right.

What makes the cards different from a meditation app or a mindset book?

An app interrupts you with a notification. A book requires a chair. A sports psychologist requires an appointment.

The cards live in the moment—between sets, on the changeover, standing over the ball. That’s the only place real change happens, because that’s the only place the old patterns actually run. The deck is designed to meet you exactly there.

Why physical cards instead of an app?

Because awareness requires presence—not distraction.

No notifications. No messages. No interruptions. Just one clear thought at the right moment.

There is also something deeper. What you physically touch, you remember. These cards are not just read—they are handled, flipped, used. That creates a stronger connection than anything on a screen.

Not in your phone. Not in your head. In your hands.

Using the deck

How do I use the cards in the moment?

Draw a card before your round, match, or session to set your intention. Keep one in your pocket, on your bag, or by your mat. Flip to one when you feel your focus slipping.

You don’t follow a system. You use them when the moment demands it.

Will this actually improve my game?

Yes—but not the way other tools improve it.

The cards won’t fix your swing, your forehand, or your form. What they fix is the gap between the player you are on a good day and the player you are on a bad one. Most of that gap is mental, and the cards close it.

Players who use the deck consistently report walking off the course or the court with fewer regrets—fewer points lost to frustration, fewer holes lost to the previous one, fewer sessions abandoned because the voice in their head won that day.

That’s where performance really shifts.

Who is this for — beginners or advanced players?

Both.

The mental game is universal. A beginner uses the cards to build confidence and presence from the start. An advanced player uses them to break the patterns that limit their performance under pressure. The cards meet you wherever you are.

Can I use them outside of sport?

Yes—and this is where the practice deepens.

Golf, tennis, and the workout are the training ground. They are where the patterns reveal themselves most clearly: the doubt over the ball, the frustration after a missed point, the bargaining voice at the end of a set. But once you’ve felt those patterns in sport, you start seeing them everywhere—in difficult conversations, before a meeting, in the moments your day starts to slip away from you.

Many of our customers tell us the cards travel with them off the course or off the court—slipped into a wallet, kept on a desk, pulled out before a hard call.

For those moments, we also made the coin.

Can other people see me using them?

Yes—and that’s part of the power.

Clipped to your bag or held in your hand, the cards are a visible signal: you are not just playing. You are training your mind. For many of our customers, that visibility is part of the practice—a quiet declaration that the inner game matters.

About the coin

What is the coin, and how is it different from the cards?

The coin is the everyday companion to the cards—small enough to live in your pocket, weighty enough that you remember it’s there.

On one side, an arc rises: the trajectory of every shot, every serve, every swing—the reminder that how you play is how you live. On the other side, three words orbit a single point: Focus. Resilience. Presence. They never begin and never end, because they are not steps to complete. They are qualities to return to.

Where the cards train you in the moment of play, the coin keeps the practice with you the rest of the time. The cards are sport-specific. The coin is everywhere—in your pocket on a walk, in your hand before a difficult conversation, on your desk while you work, in your palm in the moments your day starts to drift.

Together, the cards and the coin form one practice across two surfaces: the field of play, and everything else.

Do I need both the deck and the coin?

No. Each works on its own.

Many of our customers start with one—the deck for the sport they care most about, or the coin as their everyday anchor—and add the other once they feel the practice taking hold.

If you are choosing between them: start with the deck if there is a specific moment in your sport you want to change. Start with the coin if you want a daily, all-day reminder of who you are when you are at your best.

Quality, gifting, and ordering

What about the quality and packaging?

Everything is designed to feel intentional. The cards, the ring, the box, the pouch—solid, minimal, premium. This is not something you throw in your bag and forget. It is something you pick up, use, and come back to.

Each deck arrives in a presentation-quality box with a velvet pouch, ready to give or to keep.

Is it a good gift?

It is a thoughtful gift—the kind that respects how seriously the recipient takes their game. Most golfers, tennis players, and people who train will never buy something like this for themselves. That is exactly what makes it the right gift.

If you are buying for someone whose preferred sport you are not sure of, the deck most universally welcomed is One More Rep, because nearly everyone trains in some form. The coin is also an excellent gift for someone whose practice is broader than a single sport.

Can I buy the deck and the coin together?

Yes. The deck and the coin make a set—the deck for the sport, the coin for everything after it. Add the coin to your order, or take both together as a set at a discount, shipped free.

Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

We ship within the US. Delivery time depends on the option you choose at checkout, calculated for your location. Orders over $60 ship free.

What is your return policy?

If it’s not right for you, send it back within 30 days of the day it arrives, unused and in its original condition, and we’ll refund you. Reach out first at hello@taketimeto.me and we’ll walk you through it. Return shipping is on you; the original shipping isn’t refunded. We want you confident in the deck—not stuck with one that isn’t yours.

I have another question. How do I reach you?

Write to us at hello@taketimeto.me. Real questions get real answers—usually from me.

Or use our contact form.
